Happy 4th!

Yesterday we went to Camp Lejeune for fireworks and all of the festivities... we had fun, and it only took about 45 minutes to get off base and home (far better than the 2-3 hours that we had heard)! Believe it or not, it was our first fireworks show together-and this was the fourth 4th of July we have been together for. The show was shorter than I thought it would be, but the quality of the fireworks that were there was awesome-they had some really neat ones, including a heart shaped one, ones that split and split, and ones that reminded me of the meteor splitting at the end of "Armageddon". Very unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of Patrick and I or of the fireworks... just one lone picture of our delicious funnel cake, and then the camera died. That's the disadvantage of having a lithium battery... if you forget to charge it, or if it runs out of juice, you're out of luck. Why I didn't bring the SLR in the first place is beyond me...
