I can't believe we've made it this far... halfway to 6 months. We're still in the really hard "it's a complete blur" phase-I basically just go day by day with what needs to be done and what lack of sleep I'll be getting. I don't get used to it... it just kind of piles up, on top of my migraines which are coming back. Not being pessimistic, I know this won't last forever-just honest about what life is like here right now!
-Patrick is around 15 1/2lbs and Ava is around 13 1/2lbs (according to our home scale and us getting on it with them)
-Patrick is wearing 6-12 month clothes (mostly 9-12 now), Ava 3-6 months
-Both can roll belly to back! Ava did a few weeks ago (September 12) and Patrick did just this past week (October 3). Ava is awesome at holding her head up while on her belly, Patrick is getting there (his head weighs a ton!). Both of them are working on being able to sit up (in the bumbo, etc) but are still wobbly and schlump over-hopefully they'll get good at that in this next month or we won't be able to start oatmeal till a little later!
-They are both pretty vocal-Patrick more than Ava. The crying vocals are loud and proud with both of them.
-Ava's colic has. not. slowed. down. I thought it was gone, a week or so around the 2 month mark... no. The other day one or both of them were crying for 6 hours straight. Usually it's between about 3-5 hours but it was just BAD on Wednesday. I can't wait to have happy babies. (Patrick's generally a happy dude but sometimes her fussing sets him off)
-We've had to turn them sideways in their crib, as of yesterday (so-they are in the "normal" way now). Ava scoots and her head was up against the back of the crib-this way will give her a little more room. I'm wondering when we'll have to split them. That will be sad when they are sleeping alone :(
-Patrick drinks 7oz of formula, Ava is on 5oz still.
