2 Months!

How it's been 2 months since they were born I have NO idea! We're still in that "it's all a blur" phase.

This is an interesting picture. NOT my favorite at all. The whole thing was a fail from the start-I forgot to get fabric and I didn't have anything big enough in my stash so this is actually an unused bedsheet. Patrick kept me company while ironing it, right after he finished washing bottle nipples-and while in with me he forgot about them, let the pot boil dry, and the pot and the 20 bottle nipples were burned and ruined. This morning we got up, I fed the babies, and got everything ready for the picture. I couldn't find the white onesie big enough to fit Patrick (no idea where that size of them is-the one I had located is now a monster shirt) so he's squeezed into a size smaller than what he needs. Then I put them on the fabric and automatic freak out mode began... it was one and then the other but mostly Ava, of course. I got a few shots and it was just downhill. I gave them a break, let them nap, fed them again, and tried again this afternoon-and then I hear Maya say "Oh no, Ava spilled!" ...which, interpreted, means that Ava spit up. So even if I wanted to continue I couldn't. And then, of course, the best one that turned out was one that looks like Ava is punching Patrick. I guess the whole thing is an accurate picture of our lives right now-complete chaos!

As for what the babies are doing right now:
-They are both working on tummy time and keeping their heads up, which Ava is really good at but Patrick is pretty lazy and content just lying there. They like tummy time most of the time.

-They are more on a routine-they eat every three hours during the day, and their longest stretch at night is 7 hours between feedings, so 5 1/2-6 hours of sleeping... too bad that sleep stretch starts at 9, right when I start preparing bottles for the next day, cleaning the house, etc.

-They are finally off their high-calorie formula and on some sensitive stuff in hopes that it would help Ava, but it hasn't so far, it has actually made her spit up quite often. Patrick drinks 6 ounces and Ava drinks 5. I'm not sure how much they weigh-Patrick is definitely over 12 pounds and is in 3-6 month clothes (0-3 month pajamas and a couple of outfits though) and Ava is a pound or two behind, still in 0-3 month everything. I'll update after their appointment on Friday with their stats.

-They are able to sit up in their Bumbos-we stay close because sometimes they schlump over, but most of the time they do pretty well!

-Both are starting to smile a lot-I love it! Maya can get Patrick to smile quite often :)

I had spit up issues with Micah and Ellie so we switched them to Enfamil A.R. and it helped. I think spitting up runs in our genes.
