First Movie!

All of a sudden Maya has become OBSESSED with Toy Story. We bought her the first DVD and since the first time she watched it she's been totally enthralled with it (she calls it doe-dee, though lately "story" has sounded more like "story"!) ...we then bought Toy Story 2, and she loves that one as well... ironically, a movie ticket for TS3 came with each of the DVDs that we just bought. We'd always figured we'd wait until she was a little older to take her to her first movie-three or so-especially since she doesn't care too much for TV, but the way she loves TS we figured we'd give it a try... worst case scenario is that we'd have to leave, the tickets were free anyway so it didn't really matter.

We got her pretty excited about it the few days before, and every time we'd ask her "Maya, what are we going to see on Friday?" she'd answer with a VERY enthusiastic "doe-dee"... we went, took an entire container of dried apples, and she was GREAT! We got to see the entire movie and she was unbelievably well behaved. I'm sure a lot of it had to do with the size of the screen and that her favorites were on there, but we had SUCH a fun time sharing that with her!
