This one in particular is my favorite kind-the icee. Cherry flavor, to be exact-and it gets extra points if it is white cherry because then it doesn't turn my mouth all red. The texture is perfect, not like the slushies you get at Sonic or at the movie theater or anything where it's basically crushed ice and syrup (the exception here is the Slush Puppie). I'd give just about anything to have a machine in my house right about now... but there are only three places right here in town that I know of that sell them-the Hess gas station, Blimpie's in Wal-mart, and in Target (and those ones in Target are usually white).
Wellll last night I really really really wanted one. I remembered seeing a recipe for them on the back of our cherry koolaid container (the premixed one)-so we set to work. And made a little too much on accident, but hey, a little too much of a great thing is never so bad. So here is our 11pm venture last night:
They turned out SO yummy! (3C ice, 1C water, 1/2C koolaid powder-premixed kind-if you want to try!)
...and then Evie wanted to help.

My husband has been on a cherry icee kick too. We have had a hard time finding them out here. Just tonight we found out they sell them at target. Yum!
