Lazy update

I am going to be completely lazy and just do a couple of pictoral posts. I am exhausted. I have been keeping a special blog for Patrick "from" Maya with everything she does all day, so that takes me a little bit to do every night-a good half hour to an hour-and that is obviously my priority, and so by the time I am done with that I want to go to bed. Like last night. I was pooped. This morning I woke up feeling awful, and when I went to get kiddo a bottle it was impossible to walk in a straight line. Maya had a rough night GETTING to sleep-not as awful as the last week was, it finally dawned on me what was going on-her three month growth spurt. It's OVER now and I am eternally thankful. It didn't dawn on me that that's what was going on till she got in that crazy hibernation period of it. But she still has a lot going on-teeth that are SO ready to pop through being the main thing. But, after all the struggle she slept through the night last night, and when I checked her mouth this morning the bit of gums around one of the teeth looks swollen. So, here we go.

Snow.
We got a "lot" of it for here, 3 inches. People are freaking out. This is my third winter here... and everyone has always said how the town shuts down when there is a chance of snow... and oh yes, that was the case. Night before last they preemptively shut down all of the schools, and yesterday and today the base was closed... ridiculous! There were a ton of accidents and spinouts and just... insanity.
Maya got her ears pierced.
I think it was more traumatic for me than for her. She was complaining when the lady was marking her ears, didn't want to sit still, didn't want to be messed with. Did NOT want her head and arms held still. But we did it, and she screeeeamed, and she cried all in the store and all through the mall... but after I fed her and she took a little nap she was over it. They look super cute on her, and I am glad I got them done now because they can heal up before she even discovers she has ears, and I can take them out if need be-and I also won't have the childhood battle of her not wanting me to clean her ears or her having the responsibility. I got the smallest ones-3mm 14kt gold CZ's, but they still look big because her ears are SO petite! (I love her little pixie ears).

over it!

Just have to say that I'm a lurker of your blog:) My baby is 2 weeks younger than yours, and I have been thinking about getting her ears pierced soon. With my older daughter I had hers done when she was about 5-6 months old and it is so much easier when they are little!!
I can't believe Maya is getting teeth already! Hope your able to get more sleep soon!
