Well, Tropical Storm Hanna is definitely going to hit us within the next 24 hours.
I've been following the projected path on weather.com as well as one on the noaa website, and both of them have different times that its going to hit-weather.com says Saturday later morning/afternoon, and noaa says sometime after 2am. Regardless-its coming tonight, and it's coming directly at us.
We went out last night, and while we're not worried about this being a terrible storm and it damaging anything, we bought water, flashlights, some dry food and some bread just in case the power gets knocked out for a few days. That's the worst thing I can see happening at this point. Ike is the one to keep our eye on.
Patrick's just sitting at work, everyone's just waiting to get secured to go home. Base is going to be on lockdown-no one can get in or out-after a certain point, and after 7:30 tonight the county is on a strict curfew. If you're out driving, you will get a ticket... I hear they take it pretty seriously. The only way we'll evacuate is if sometime before evening it goes up to a category 3 hurricane-its possible, just not probable. We're really not worried at all about this-it's just going to be a wet weekend.
If I can get some pictures and video I'll post it tomorrow, as well as posting how we are and how it ended up hitting... as for today, I'm kind of hoping to go to the beach to see the waves!

I'm hoping that you don't lose power and that all is safe and sound on your end. Keep us posted.
well hang onto your hat.... and tell Hanna that she just needs to move along... guess she's paying a visit to New England early Sunday morning, at least she is predicted to be "quick".... good luck, we will watch the blog for further info......
